Coatings USA, LLC Terms & Conditions


Payment Terms

Coatings USA, LLC accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash/check, or purchase order (upon approved credit application) payment for services rendered.  We require a 50% deposit upon order placement (non-refundable), and the remaining balance is due when your item/part is ready for pick-up or shipping.  Final payment for services must be made within (10) ten business days from date of notification of completion.  Finished orders will be released for shipping or local pick-up upon receipt final payment.  Orders not paid in full by the 10th business day after notification of completion will be assessed an inventory storage fee of $10/day. Orders not paid or pick up after 30 days of completion will be considered abandoned.


All claims and disputes arising under or relating to this Agreement are to be settled by binding arbitration in the state of Virginia, county of Warren or another location mutually agreeable to the parties. The arbitration shall be conducted on a confidential basis pursuant to the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association. Any decision or award as a result of any such arbitration proceeding shall be in writing and shall provide an explanation for all conclusions of law and fact and shall include the assessment of costs, expenses, and reasonable attorneys’ fees. Any such arbitration shall be conducted by an arbitrator experienced in Manufacturing and/or Coating Industry and shall include a written record of the arbitration hearing. The parties reserve the right to object to any individual who shall be employed by or affiliated with a competing organization or entity. An award of arbitration may be confirmed in a court of competent jurisdiction.


Coatings USA, LLC is not responsible for damages or loss incurred during the shipping of your item/part.  Any damage claim must be addressed through the shipping company that was used to deliver your item/part to Coatings USA, LLC.  We recommend that all items/parts are well packaged with padding and insured with your shipping carrier.  Please be sure to enclose a copy of your completed order form with your shipment.

Received Condition of Item/Part

Items/parts must be received completely disassembled and ready for finishing.  Any item/part that requires disassembly before finishing, or assembly after finishing will be charged an assembly fee of $75/hour.  Likewise, items/parts that require cleaning to remove grease, oil, or grime will be charged a $20 solvent washing fee. Please note that your item/part must be able to handle the powder coating curing process which involves temperatures in excess of 400°F (i.e. no gaskets, seals, bearings, body filler, or plastic may be present).  Coatings USA, LLC is not responsible for damages to your item/part resulting from the curing process.

Items/Parts made from Magnesium & Aluminum

Items/parts constructed from magnesium, cast aluminum, or other porous materials may experience out-gassing during the curing process, which can result in bubbles and/or pin-holes in your powder coated finish.  Although we take precautions to minimize out-gassing from these types of materials, Coatings USA, LLC is not responsible for finish imperfections on your item/part should an out-gassing occur. To provide the best possible finish for your project we also offer wet coating services, prices subject to change due to material cost.

Blasting Services

Coatings USA, LLC offers sand blasting services for your items/parts.  We make every effort to ensure that your item is handled with care and the appropriate blasting media is used for surface treatment. However, due to the uncertainty of condition/metal integrity of items/parts which may require blasting to remove corrosion, Coatings USA, LLC is not responsible for damages resulting from our blasting services.  Blasting services are available upon request for a fee of $150/hour, material price included.

Special Order Powder Coating Colors

Non-stock powder colors are available upon request for an additional fee based on market pricing.  Please contact us for a quote on lead time and pricing for all special order powder coatings.  Fees for special order powder coating colors are non-refundable if your order is changed or cancelled. Clear Coat is required for all chrome, metallic, silver, and other certain colors, add 50% to the price. All Transparent Colors require a basecoat; Multi-stage coatings add 50% per stage to price.

Liquid Finish Coatings

Coatings USA, LLC liquid finish coatings available. All colors are special order, pricing based on fair market value and subject to change. Fees for special order paint colors are non-refundable if your order is changed or cancelled. Clear Coat is required for all chrome, metallic, silver, and other certain colors, add 50% to the price. All Transparent Colors require a basecoat; Multi-stage coatings add 50% per stage to price. Certificate of Compliance available upon request.

Finish Warranty

Coatings USA, LLC warranties the finish of your item/part to be free from peeling or flaking for a period of (12) month for all new powder coated items/parts and for a period of (6) month for all refurbished/used items/parts.  Warranty does not cover scratches, cuts, nicks, chips, or other wear and tear issues resulting from installation or general use of the item/part.  Additionally, Coatings USA, LLC is not responsible for burning/overheating of your powder coated finish due to prolonged exposure of the coating to temperatures exceeding 300°F (1000°F for high-temperature specialty coatings).  Warranty coverage period begins on date of final payment.

Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure

Without formal agreement, Coatings USA, LLC considers a all nonpublic information of any kind, furnished by its clients or any of its officers, employees, or agents, to be “Confidential Information”. Confidential Information includes, but not limited to: nonpublic information about the client or: 1) about its owners, officers, directors and employees. 2) about its business plans, actual or prospective licensees and other business customers, licensees, joint ventures, vendors and suppliers. 3) about its marketing, financial cost or pricing information. 4) about its market or competitive strategies and assessments 5) about its research and development, concepts, ideas, creations, discoveries, improvements, enhancements (whether or not patent-able or copyright-able) 6) about its products, services, know-how, formula, processes, technical data, designs, methodologies and trade 7) all its negotiations, proposals and agreements between the parties, whether or not executed 8) third party information held in confidence by the client. Confidential Information may take any form, tangible or intangible, including without limitations: letters, specifications, reports, discussions, blueprints, drawings, memoranda, plans, production, software (including source code and object code), hardware, firm wave and related documentation, flow charts, documents, machinery, equipment, processes, product and technical requirements. Coatings USA, LLC agrees to enter into a formal, signed “Non-Disclosure and Confidentiality Agreement” with its clients.
